68 local life C osimo Crisafulli's journey began in Sicily when, at the age of 11, he made his very first strokes with a paint brush. At the age of twenty-two, his life took an important turn when one of his painter friends contacted him and offered him the chance to come and work in the Alps for three months. So the young Sicilian first arrived in Crans- Montana in his sandals in the spring of 1985. He was astonished to discover snow dotting the mountains - the first time he had ever witnessed it. Those three months quickly flew by and he ended up working for that company for a decade. But in the early 90s, like many others, work ran out during the financial crisis and Cosimo found himself unemployed by 1995. The situation left him with two options - THE BOSS IN OVERALLS
