40 local life Located at the gateway to Crans-Montana, the name Garage– Carrosserie La Dellège has long been synonymous with reliability, local service, and a passion for mechanics. In February of this year, a key milestone was reached in the company’s history : its transformation intoapublic limited company (société anonyme). The move away from limited liability (Sàrl) status came with a strategic reorganization designed to breathe new life into the business while remaining true to its roots. In 2013, André Mabillard took over the reins of this family business, founded more than 40 years ago. A holder of the Federal Diploma as an Automotive Diagnostician and a recognized trainer, he succeeded in giving the company new momentum. At the beginning of this year, he stepped back from day-to-day operations to join the board of directors, entrusting a renewed team of 14 employees with carrying forward the company ’s mission. “Some people thought outside investors had taken over the garage. That’s not the case. This autumn, we sent an information letter and brochure to our clients to confirm that our company remains 100% local,” explains Mathieu Bridy, the new operations manager at La Dellège. THREE DIVISIONS, ONE PHILOSOPHY With the new legal structure came the creation of three distinct divisions : the mechanical workshop, led by Mario Kalajdzic; the body shop, overseen by Julien Glettig; and general operations, managed by Mathieu Bridy. This reorganization aims to give staff more autonomy across their departments while maintaining overall coordination. With a team of seasoned professionals, La Dellège continues to offer a comprehensive range of services : repairs, breakdown assistance, maintenance, and bodywork. The company has also expanded its facilities in the last few years. In 2021, a new building was added, followed by the opening of a used vehicle sales space in 2023 on the site of the former Gaudin garage. These vehicles come with a 12-month warranty, and the garage also offers complementary services such as registration and insurance—thanks to partnerships with AXA and La Vaudoise. INNOVATION AND CUSTOMER LOYALTY For 11 years, the garage has maintained a close partnership with the AMAG Group through the stop+go network, which guarantees a high level of quality and 24-hour mobility coverage throughout Europe. This collaboration gives La Dellège direct access to genuine parts for all AMAG brands (Volkswagen, Audi, Škoda, Seat). “Our customers benefit from a free 12-month mobility guarantee on services, valid throughout Switzerland—similar to a TCS contract,” explains Mario Kalajdzic. Without seeking to reinvent everything, the La Dellège team is committed to continuous improvement. Digitalization is a prime example : through the stop+go website, customers can already book appointments online—soon, they will even be able to select their preferred time slots directly. The next big challenge lies in customer retention. “We’redevelopinga servicededicated tocompanies for managing and maintaining their vehicle fleets. The idea is to provide personalized support and adapted pricing,” says Mathieu Bridy. CONTINUITY AND THE FUTURE Firmly anchored in the Crans-Montana community, La Dellège actively contributes to local life. The company regularly supports sports clubs and regional events. “When we’re asked for help, we always try to contribute as best we can,” confirms Mathieu Bridy. The future of La Dellège will be written in the spirit of continuity and coherence. The current team’s priority is to strengthen its foundations, improve collaboration among the three divisions, and keep pace with the rapid changes in the automotive sector. At its core, La Dellège aims to maintain the right balance between professionalism, local connection, and a genuine passion for mechanics.
