86 culture PRÉSENT FUGITIF exposes the artistic diversity of Australia's first peoples by combining an ancient art form with a more recent medium. Initially created in the ground during ceremonies, the creations in wamulu - a yellow flower from the Central Desert - have been fixed with a binder to panels for public display. Alongside these floor paintings, fifty photographs explore sensitive themes of Australian colonial history. PRÉSENT FUGITIF thus presents two mediums of a very different nature that aim to make visible the immaterial, even if only for a brief moment. Produced between the 1990s and today, the photographic series by Michael Riley, Tracey Moffatt, Tony Albert and Robert Fielding denounce the still painful consequences of the European FONDATION OPALE LA FONDATION
