"Supported by its loyal sponsors, patrons and friends, the CMClassics will offer a full cultural experience on the Haut-Plateau," says Gérard Bagnoud, president of the Crans-Montana Classics Association. The month of August promises to offer a wealth of musical riches. Following the success of the outdoor event last year, the Crans-Montana Classics, was encouraged to continue the experience as it was so popular. So add the date to your diary, "The Italian Opera enchants the Golf" will be held on August 6th, 2021 at 7:00 p.m. in a setting that can only be described as exceptional: the Severiano Ballesteros Course at Golf Club Crans-sur-Sierre. The evening promises to be memorable. The idea behind it is to honour Italy, says Gérard Bagnoud. Indeed, since the Haut-Plateau began to be a tourists destination, it owes a lot to Italy, with which it shares a border in the Alps. It is therefore a question of paying tribute to this country, for its link with Crans-Montana, but also for the hardships it had to go through at the start of the pandemic. "What could be more beautiful than Italian opera to joyfully celebrate a 'rebirth event'?" adds the president. This new summer season also marks the return of the Master Classes which, for the second time, will take the form of String Quartet Master Classes. This event will take place under the direction of the Jerusalem Quartet, which has come straight from Israel, which is used to frequenting the biggest international stages, and which in itself constitutes "THE world benchmark". These outstanding musicians will also do us the honour of performing as part of the opening concert to be held on August 7th at the Saint-Christophe chapel. As for the participants in these Master Classes, they come from all over Europe. The four quartets participating in the Master Classes will also perform in concert on August 10 at the Notre-Dame de Crêtaz d'Asse chapel, on the heights of Aminona. This magical place and the talented musicians guarantee you will have a unique time. And if you want to see how teachers and students interact and how these young, already experienced quartets improve their skills in Crans-Montana, you can reserve your places for free (what more could you ask for?). They are held on August 9th and 11th at 6:00 p.m. The closing concert of the Master Classes will be held at the Saint-Christophe chapel on August 13th, 2021. On this occasion, you will be able to attend the result, which promises to be epic, of the work accomplished by the teachers and their students during this event, the second edition of the String Quartet Master Classes of Crans- Montana Classics.
